Janet Not to Happy About Beyonce's Comment

Beyonce's recent comments about the Jackson family has Janet Jackson a little pissy according to The National Enquirer claims:

“…The Jackson family came from Gary, Indiana and there was a time they barely squeaked by. But Janet has many loving memories and is incensed that Beyonce would make a crack like that.”“She feels Beyonce went out of her way to tell the world she’s from the upper class and the Jacksons were like a bunch of dirty gutter rats.”“Janet is proud of her family and how they came from nothing and became superstars.”“Not only is Janet telling everyone who will listen that Beyonce has a lot of growing up to do and that she needs to stop trying to impress everyone, she’s planning to confront Beyonce herself and read her the riot act.”

“I grew up upper class. Private school.” “My dad had a Jaguar. We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like the Jacksons, but I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation.”

The legendary Eartha Kitt passed away on Christmas day in a New York City hospital according to her publicist. Eartha was battling colon cancer.

The Grammies Lifetime Achievement Award Has Several Great Honorees

Congrats to The Four Tops and the Blind Boys oAlabama. They are both honorees for a lifetime achievement Grammy award. Other honorees include jazz pianist Hank Jones, late crooner Dean Martin, late singing cowboy Gene Autry, country-pop singer Brenda Lee and folk singer/songwriter Tom Paxton. The awards will be handed out in Los Angeles, the day before the 51st annual Grammy awards ceremony.

Jennifer Hudson Scheduled to Perform Grammy Week

Grammy week may mark the first public appearance by Jennifer Hudson, since the murders of her mother, brother and nephew. According to several reports Ms. Hudson is scheduled to perform at February's MusiCares Person of the Year gala honoring music legend Neil Diamond. Other performers will include; Tim McGraw, Coldplay, Josh Groban and the Foo Fighters. The show will take place Feb. 6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The 51st annual Grammy Awards will be held Feb. 8 at L.A.'s Staples Center. Hudson's brother-in-law, William Balfour, was charged Dec. 2 with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of home invasion.

TARAJI P. HENSON GETS 3 NODS!

Congrats to my girlie Taraji P. Henson, she received three nominations on Thursday for the upcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards. Two for her performance in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” (best supporting actress and ensemble cast) and one as part of the “Boston Legal” TV series ensemble.

I just have to say, i saw “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” last night and she does a great job. Everyone does actually! However the movie is 2 and 1/2 hours long, with no real climax. However the content of the movie is great!

Usher and Body By Milk Team Up to Bring The Noise

The Body By Milk campaign and Usher have teamed up to allow twenty lucky teens the chance to direct and produce music videos for Usher. "I am so excited to be the first artist involved with the Body By Milk got noise? music video program, as it gives me another way to give back, inspire young people and also reinvent music videos," said Usher. "It also sends out a message to my fans about the importance of healthy living. That's something I believe in and want teens to recognize." Usher will of course be on set to collaborate and perform with the two teen crews. The teams will get seven days to create, shoot and edit his music video. After shooting wraps, the two teen-created music videos and the original studio-created version will then be showcased online. The rest of the world will vote for their favorite music video in April, 2009. Not only will the teens win the chance to say they directed Ushers video, they will also win V.I.P. Usher concert tickets, Final Cut Pro editing software and Apple MacBook Pro laptops to continue creating after the final cut. Teens ages 13-18 can apply through Jan. 31 online at Bodybymilk. Brandy Being Sued Again Due to Crash

A man who was involved in the 2006 multiple car crash triggered by Brandy is said to be suing B-Rocka for her role in the collision. Not only is he suing Brandy but he's suing Awatef Aboudihaj, the woman who died. Donald Lite filed a lawsuit against the two lady's because he says they had no regard for road rules caused the multi-car pileup that left him with extreme physical damage. The lawsuit was filed last week in L.A. County Superior Court, Lite says their failure to keep a safe distance, mixed with their inability to travel at a safe speed, caused Brandy to rear-end Awatef, which sent Awatef's car smashing into his vehicle. Lite says he's suffered "serious and permanent injuries" due to the accident -- and is suing for an undetermined amount.

Diddy threw his baby momma Kim Porter a lavish birthday party Monday in West Hollywood. Word is that Nearly 30 guests arrived, including "Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo and husband Chris Ivery, co-star Sara Ramirez and reality TV's Lisa Gastineau. They party of course Diddy style took place at Murano Restaurant & Lounge to celebrating Porter's 38th birthday.The dj spinned nothing but old school 70s R&B and Kim was also serenaded by Stevie Wonder's singing his version of "Happy Birthday." Of course, guests drank a specialty lemon drop martini made with Ciroc vodka designed for the occasion, People.com reports. A four course tasting menu created by Executive Chef Luciano Sautto was served.

The 2nd Annual "BET Honors" will take place January 17th. There will be two different ceremonies, one will surround the inauguration of America's first black president, culminating Jan. 20. Kanye Wants to Be A Fashion Intern

There are a lot of rumors going around but this one has me kind of believing it to be possible. Mr. Kanye West apparently has decided that he will move to London and put his music career on hold to study fashion design in Europe. Kanye is already as we known working on his own line called Pastelle, sources say "He's applying at Louis Vuitton, Raf Simmons and others. Everyone is surprised at just how seriously Kanye is taking his fashion dream. He is always in the front rows during the Paris and Milan fashion weeks. He absolutely loves London and wants to absorb the fashion over here." If you remember a while ago Kanye did make this comment: "I'm going to go and take an internship and just do something that's like completely normal and just rap on the weekends or something. "

-If this it to be true, i think he may get a lot more respect for fans and fashion designers because out of all the celebrities that have the resources to start a line or anything. He actually wants to learn about what he's trying to do and start from the bottom.

T-Boz Tells Essence She is NOT Losing Her Home

ESSENCE.COM: There have been reports that a Georgia property of yours is going into foreclosure. Is that true?

T-BOZ: No, I’m not homeless. During my last marriage [to Mack 10], I had a bunch of things that were put in my name. If one of those properties is going into foreclosure then I don’t know. Although I’ve been divorced for five years, there are still a lot of things I’m dealing with on getting straight in that regard. All I know is that the house I live in with my daughter is not. When you pull up my name, my real house doesn’t show up because it’s not in my real name, because I enjoy my privacy and I’m not trying to have people be able to find me that easily.

ESSENCE.COM: There were also reports of you losing a home in Houston?T-BOZ: I’ve never owned a home in Houston. I closed a store in Houston, Chase’s Closet, where I sold girls and boys clothing from infants to 12 years. The store is named after my daughter, Chase. For now, I only have the online store (chasescloset.com).

ESSENCE.COM: That explains the locale. Did you see the photos they had of you that were allegedly in front of your Houston home begging for donations?

T-BOZ: It’s almost a waste of energy to give an explanation, but I’ll just say that the [blogosphere] loves to make up things. I remember that photo and it was on Craiglist.com showing me holding up an autographed picture on the internet saying, “If you come to this address with cash we’ll give you an autographed picture.” The only thing that irritated me was that they said that the proceeds would be donated to St. Jude’s [Children's Research Hospital]. I can take people talking about me all day, but don’t use my name to make fun of sick children because that’s beyond low and sick. I was a sick kid for a long time, in and out of the hospital most of my life battling my sickle cell, so I don’t find anything funny about that kind of joking. Why would anyone target innocent sick children to make fun of? That’s not cool at all. I mean someone actually took the time to make up all this stuff.
