Louie Bellson, jazz drummer and bandleader, died Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles of complications of Parkinson's disease. Bellson was the only white member of Duke Ellington Orchestra. Bellson and his wife Pearl Bailey married in the early 50's when interracial marriage was rare.
