A LOT of people sleep on Artist who actually have the talent that they complain artist don't have these days. So i decided i would get back to my original plan for this blog and focus on talented artist that need to have their shine!Most of you guys know Karina from her HUGE impact on YOUtube and from her appearance on remixes from; Kiss Me Thru The Phone (Soulja Boy) and With You (Chris Brown). However here's a little background. Karina is currently signed to Def jam. As well as singing she plays the piano. Karina is from New York and is of Dominican and Armenian descent.
According to her bio she met Mr. Quincy Jones In 2003. He invited her and her family to his home in California. Not long after that meeting Karina performed and won on Star Search, performed at Quincy Jones' We Are The Future concert in Rome and in 2007 she performed at the White House for President George W. Bush, in celebration of Black Music Month.
At just thirteen Karina's talent was in the middle of a bidding war between: Def Jam, Interscope, and Bad Boy Records. She ultimately chose Def Jam. In 2008 Karina was nominated for the Best Contemporary R&B Album Grammy for First Love.
