Dont ask me why but Spanish photographer Manuel Antonio Velandia recently held an exhibit with a series of transsexuals Barbie dolls. The exhibition is clearly not recommended for children and was held by the Decide Association of Lesbians, Gay, Bisexuals and Transsexuals of Alicante. From my understanding the exhibit was to show the lack of diversity in Barbie. We didnt have to take it this far to prove that point! Either way, Mattel, has no intention to undertake legal actions against the University of Alicante, institution that yields the space to the organizers of the sample.
