Ray Charles Children Want Control

Several of Ray Charles 12 children are seeking a investigation and audit of their father's estate, trusts and foundation for possible wrongdoing by their father's longtime manager Joe Adams , whom they accuse of mismanagement. They are also claiming that Adams is ruining their father's legacy by releasing two posthumous CDs that their father never would have approved, according to the Los Angeles Times.

"The biggest issue with me is disrespect for the family and kids," said Robert Robinson, one of Charles' sons, according to the AP. "If you respect a man and his work, then respect his kids. His blood is flowing through our veins."

Charles' children hope to get control of the marketing of their father's name and image, as well as a voice in foundation affairs.
