Sarah Palin Accepts David Letterman's Apology

David Letterman was forced (YES, i said forced because it no one would have said anything.Life would have moved on) to apologize to Sarah Palin, after a "fire Letterman" rally that's set to take place today, for what he called "a bad joke." As we all know by now, Letterman made headlines last week when he made a joke about Palin's 18-year-old daughter Bristol, former New York Gov. Elliott Spitzer and New York Yankee star Alex Rodriguez. Palin assumed that Letterman was referring to her 14-year-old daughter Willow, not Bristol and a war of words began. In Letterman's apology last night he said, "It's not your fault that it was misunderstood, it's my fault," Letterman said, "So I would like to apologize, especially to the two daughters involved, Bristol and Willow, and also to the governor and her family and everybody else who was outraged by the joke. I'm sorry about it and I'll try to do better in the future. Thank you very much."Palin says there's no hard feelings anymore and she accepts his apology. In a statement issued Tuesday, the Alaska Gov. said Letterman's apology was accepted "on behalf of all young women, like my daughters, who hope men who 'joke' about public displays of sexual exploitation of girls will soon evolve."
