RUN-DMC Now Owns Street Corner in Hollis Queens

According to the New York Times, the corner of 205th Street and Hollis Avenue will from here on out be called "Run-DMC, JMJ Way." The New York City Council approved a new bill that renamed the street corner in Hollis Queens after its famous natives Run-DMC. This has been a wonderful year for RMC they were also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April. Word is DMC also donated Run-DMC memorabilia for a proposed Hollis Hip Hop Museum in the Queens neighborhood. Queens Councilman Leroy G. Comrie represents the area and said he hopes the renaming of the street and talk of the museum would help "economically revitalize this particular neighborhood as a potential tourism attraction."
