For those of you who do not know, William Safire (middle), was a Political Columnist and Oracle of Language. Safire was also the speechwriter for President Richard M. Nixon and a Pulitzer Prize winning political columnist for The New York Times who also wrote novels, and books on politics. According to reports he died Sunday to pancreatic cancer, Safire was 79.
