Interracial couple denied marriage license in New Orleans

So clearly this justice of peace thought he had all the answers. He told an interracial couple that he would not marry them because he says it is his experience that most interracial marriages do not last long. Not only that but he says he has discussed the topic with blacks and whites, along with witnessing some interracial marriages. And he came to the conclusion that most of black society does not readily accept offspring of such relationships, and neither does white society.

All i want to know is who told this man, that his opinion was needed?

The ACLU sent a letter to the Louisiana Judiciary Committee, which oversees the state justices of the peace, asking them to investigate Bardwell and recommending "the most severe sanctions available, because such blatant bigotry poses a substantial threat of serious harm to the administration of justice." Because he broke the law, by not marring them.

Im confused isn't it 2009? Not only that, but who are you to tell someone that you don't know, about their marriage? That isn't your issue..Until you start walking on water, i suggest you treat people like the need to be treated.
