Parents Television Council UPSET About Gossip Girl Episode

Network execs at CW have been getting a lot of heat over an upcoming episode of Gossip Girl that will feature a threesome. The PTO (Parents Television Council) UPSET about an upcoming episode, they're writing to TV bosses asking them not to air it. President of the organization, Tim Winter says in a statement, "(This show is) expressly targeted to impressionable teenagers. Will you now be complicit in establishing a precedent and expectation that teenagers should engage in behaviors heretofore associated primarily with adult films? "If this program violates broadcast decency law, rest assured that our members will contact the Federal Communications Commission."

The episode is set to air next Monday, November 9th. I have to agree with the organization. I watch three or four episodes and i was like this is too much for TV. Yea its easy to say don't let your kids watch it. But they can watch it online at school or where ever. CW used to be a channel for kids and family shows. Now its the total opposite. So sad, I do, however find it funny how no one was outraged when they showed the kids snorting cocaine. This show is helpful to parents because it shows a lot of what "suburban kids" involve themselves in. (Not All of them) But it's not a good reference for impressionable minds. [source]
