It seems even though Whitney Houston’s latest album ‘I Look To You’ has been now certified Platinum by the RIAA. Ms Houston was left with not one Grammy nominations. Yet, newcomer Drake was nominated, Beyonce leads the pack with ten, Taylor Swift is in second place place with eight nominations and others include Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell and more. Now many will say some of the nods are deserving i will agree, however i'm starting to wonder if the Grammys like many other award show are now focusing more on popularity than good music? I can a sure you Whitney's comeback album was a much better than Beyonce and Taylor Swift(who seems to be doing well because of sympathy at this point). There are some who seem to be outraged about Ms. Houston not being. You can peep the whole list here. I find it funny that artist like Whitney Houston and Kanye West who had great albums get no nominations for their albums but artist who had "Flopped" albums get nominations. LOL, im just saying.
