I dont usually do this but i had to support! I went on my usual twice a month movie day where i watch movies all day long. Today i saw Iron Man 2 (great film BTW) and i also saw Just Wright! When i tell you i wasn't a believer that Queen Latifah and Common could pull me in BOY was i wrong! The movie was GREAT a bit cliche at times, but what movie isnt these days?The film is about Leslie Wright, physical therapist. She's about 35 and she really wants to find love but every guy she dates put her into the "Homegirl" category. Her God Sister/Best friend Morgan (Paula Patton) ends up dating Scott (Common) and something happen and she leaves him. While Leslie rehabilitates Scott after an injury they find themselves falling for each other. The dad in the film is an amazing explain of a father! The mom on the other hand is like most of us (the attendance) thinking a guy like him would never date a regular "homegirl" type chick. (without giving away the film)
Im telling everyone please go see this film! I may even see it again. Its a great love story and get this its a black cast! LOL, i was the only person of color in the theatre and it made me feel so good as we were all walking out to here everyone saying how great it was. Im also not an emotionl person and i got me when he said, "im going to take care of you." That scene was Tissue! There are some very good family values, it was very refreshing!
