Actress and photographer Chenoa Maxwell will meet and greet while showcasing her photographs
Detroit, MI – September 27, 2010 – Located in the heart of Detroit's historical Avenue of Fashion District sits 1917 American Bistro, the location of one the most anticipated art showcases of the fall. Artist Talk: Meet and Greet with Chenoa Maxwell will be the place to be on Friday October 8, 2010 at 8:00pm. The event is brought to you by wine & spirit lifestyle marketing organization The Mahogany Tasters.
Chenoa Maxwell is best known for her leading roles in the movies G and Hav Plenty. Some of her notable photographic works were captured through her travels in countries like Uganda and India and she has also snapped portraits of popular entertainers including but not limited to Shaquille O’Neal, Talib Kweli, Gabrielle Union, and Grammy award winner Brandy.
The event will include complementary wine tasting and cheese while guest engage in art and conversation with Chenoa Maxwell. “Photography is an art form that rarely receives the praise that is due. Hopefully, this is the first of many exhibition events that will showcase the power of photos on those who view them. “ Said Chuck Jackson, Procurement & Education Director of The Mahogany Tasters. With tickets modestly priced at $10.00, a portion of this event proceeds will be donated to IN-Accord a non-profit who promotes youth music students through mentoring and support.
