Ashanti will star in her first theater role this summer in a New York-staged revival of "The Wiz." Shanti will star as Dorothy in L. Frank Baum's version. The play begins in June as part of the "Encores! Summer Stars" series at New York City Center.

CONGRATS goes out to MC Lyte, according to several reports DuBose Music Group has announced they have hired veteran MC Lyte as Executive Vice President of its music entity.

Lyte has also announced she's signed new artist Tenille Johnson, a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Atlanta, as well Lyte's, new CD "The Second Coming" through DMG later this year.

Tyrese's Wife leaves With What She came With, Nothing!!

The prenuptial agreement between Tyrese and his wife Norma Gibson was uncovered and put on blast by, who else? TMZ.com. "According to the docs, Norma doesn't get a piece of any of Tyrese's possessions -- not his production company, not his cars, not his house ... nothing,"


The Web site also reported. "The prenup does state that Norma would get a lump sum of $50,000 for every year they were married -- maxed out at 10 years," noted the site. The only problem is they were only married 10 months. According to the prenup, if either side files for separation or divorce, Norma has to move out of the house within 60 days -- or else Tyrese can get a court order to make her move out!

John Legend Plans to Go Green on "Evolver" Tour!

John Legend says he will go green as possible while touring over 50 cities this summer in support of his latest album, "Evolver." Word is that Legend will team up with non-profit environmental organization REVERB to ensure that the trek is eco-conscious, reports Billboard. Their efforts will include coordination with venues and local caterers to facilitate the use of green products and practices, along with neutralizing CO2 emissions from venue energy use, hotels, flights and touring vehicles.

Terrence Howard tells Parade magazine that he’s not too happy he won’t be in the new Iron Man movie:

“Marvel made a choice, and it was a very, very bad choice. They didn’t keep their word. They didn’t honor my contract. They produced a great bounty with the first one but they put it all in the storehouse and you were not allowed in. They did the same thing with Gwyneth Paltrow, from what I’ve been told. They did it with almost everyone except Robert Downey [Jr.]. One of the things that actors need to learn to do is always stick together, one for all and all for one.”

Jay Leno Hospitalized!

Our prayers go out to Jay Leno, he was hospitalized according to reports for the rest of this week. We are hearing that it could be food poisoning, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Making The Band Finale!

I know everyone watched the Finale of Making the band last night! If you did you can see it at MTV.com. However there was so much tension that D. Woods had to sit in between Aubrey and Dawn. Not only that Aundrea was a no show, Shannan looked like she was crying the whole time and Dawn may herself appear to be the bad seed of the group. Only because she continuously rolled her eyes whole everyone spoke.

However lets just get to the nitty gritty:

What people do not know is that when the group was sign their contracts were all messed up. From jump Diddy was trying to make Dawn a solo artist when the group were all on one page.He was flying her out to shows, doing private sessions with her,promotional events for Danity Kane with out the rest if the group, etc. the rest of the group found out because Aubrey and their manger (who quite after she spilled the beans) were at the strip club one night. The manager got drunk and spilled the beans to Aubrey who of course spilled the beans to everyone else as well made it know to Diddy that she knew. That when Aubrey and D woods started doing other things. That's when Dawn started getting upset because she felt like them missing shows was jeopardizing her eventually releasing a solo album. Not only that but Diddy, in regular Diddy style wasn't coming up off all they money!

The girls of the group each own a piece of the name Danity Kane, so if Diddy was ever stupid enough to make another group name Danity Kane. They would each be getting a cut.

My only question is why did everyone get up there and after all the stuff they were saying they were going to say and got scared!

Also who the HELL told Dawn to cut her her now she really isn't cute! Nice voice, nice body not cute face or hair!

Anyway Audrey has a reality show coming, D.Woods has an album and movie role, Shannan is working with her foundation and as told before she'll be *going country*, Dawn as we all knew has a solo deal with Bad Boy and Aundrea the one that just wanted to sing. Who knows but i feel sorry for her.

*sidebar* who bought Day 26's album? Did anyone also notice Diddy say that Day 26 album was #1 after Sway said it was #2 on the Billboard.

To prove that Diddy didn't give a damn, he has another girl group coming next week... lmao

30 Rock Season Finale Will Star Mary J, Adam Levine, Sheryl Crow & More

Mary J. Blige, Clay Aiken, Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow and Adam Levine of Maroon 5 will all appear in the May 14 season finale of NBC's "30 Rock," according to the the networks announcement. There is no word yet on the role everyone will play, but i heard it will be great!!
