According to sources at TMZ, AM's doctors prescribed Xanax to him to help him overcome his fear of flying--something he had to do frequently for work.
But unfortunately the benzodiazepines triggered a relapse into addiction and he began to overuse them. It didn't help that he was also using crack cocaine. The combination of the cocaine and the benzo's became a lethal cocktail.
TMZ also reports that the alleged overdose had "absolutely nothing to do with his recent breakup."
It's so tragic that he survived a plane crash but his addiction to the medication from the crash is what ultimately took his life.
Also congrats to Kevin Clash–the famous puppeteer/voice of Elmo–also won an Emmy last night.
Rachel Ray also has taken the crown traditionally won by Ellen DeGeneres, for best talk show.

I can NOT Wait til BET’s new original series, First In, premiering Friday, October 2. The show is narrated by actor/singer Tyrese Gibson (who also serves as an executive producer), delves into the lives of Compton’s firefighters and paramedics as they try to balance the high stress of a gruesome 72-hour work schedule and family life. Check out a clip above!
You're dating someone in the public eye right now. What's that like?
You can go on a Web site and there will be all sorts of gossip about them. They're spotted hanging out with someone, and he's suddenly 'romantically linked' with someone else. And you have all your friends calling you and asking what's going on. That can be annoying. Really, it's kind of stupid. You can't let the media decide how your relationship is going to be. You have to communicate. Trust is very important to me, and I'm not going to get my information about my boyfriend from the media. Sometimes I read that I broke up with him, and I have to call and confirm. (Laughs) Which actually is my favorite part, because I love to make that phone call and be like, 'Are we still together?'
Somebody is always suing B! She better get it right for she be broke.

I know, I wasn't going to post this because Im over the whole Susan Boyle and just all these talent shows! But when i saw this i broke down in TEARS!
GOD is amazing! All i have to say is, The Lord may no come when you want him to BUT he's always on time! Always hold on to your dreams, Your NEVER to ANYTHING for them to NOT come to play!
This guy wasn't even going to audition, until the kids he teaches begged him to! He also said that he's been singing TEN YEARS, no one ever paid him any attention! So he gave up!
I'm glad he did! I LOVE seeing people make their dreams come true.
Most know, i have been a huge fan of Fefe Dobson for years. I am originally from Seattle,Wa so grunge and rock is notorious. The first album i played so much that i had to buy another one. Fefe's been gone for awhile and there have been a lot of comparisons of Rihanna. Honestly i dont see them! They are two totally different styles. Fefe recently was interviewed by Honey Magazine. Check some of it out here:
That’s my point. The image thing — to go so extreme, from dancehall reggae queen
girl to cool, punky, rocker-chick. People say Rihanna bit your style.
I mean, for sure I question that, but who wouldn’t. She is supposedly a fan of mine. I try to take it as a compliment. It gets a little much when she starts getting the same tattoos as me but overall I just want people to separate the image and listen to the music. It’s about the music. Its like Prince and Michael Jackson, totally different artists. Or its like Kanye West and Jay-Z. So what? They are both black men, they sound different. So they both wear jeans, they are different. And why would you want the same type of artist?
People are definitely do an image comparison.
To me, dressing is like an expression. You don’t have to be crazy or whatever. Just wear whatever you want to wear.
I think you can tell when it’s contrived and when it’s authentic.
I agree. I do have to say one thing though, her songs are well written. I know Ne-Yo writes some stuff and he is an amazing writer but we’re just different.
Have you guys met?
Yeah, I met her when she was the dance hall queen with the long hair. She was a nice girl but very quiet.

Aaliyah has been credited for helping redefine R&B and HipHop by popularizing the stuttering, futuristic production style that consumed hip-hop and urban soul. Sal Cinquemani of Slant Magazine, has been quoted saying that Aaliyah is the "missing link between hip-hop and electronica".Having sold 8.1 million albums in the United States and over 24 million records worldwide. Aaliyah has been named the "Queen of Urban Pop." In 2001, the United States Social Security Administration ranked the name Aaliyah one of the 100 most popular names for newborn girls. [Source]
Good look for Matthew. FYI Matthew, graduated from Fisk University with a double major. Too bad his girls didn't attend college. Judging by the way Beyonce speaks , I doubt she graduated from high school.---I"M JUST SAYING!
